How the estimate works
We measure the design's filled area (the colored pixels) and its perimeter (the outline length), then apply a stitches-per-square-inch density and a stitches-per-inch outline rate. Final number = fill stitches + outline stitches.
This is a ballpark. Real digitizing depends on the digitizer's path planning, underlay, satin vs fill choices, and trim minimization. Our estimate is typically within ±20% of a real digitized count for typical promo logos. Use it to lock in your tier and confirm with the digitizer before sending the customer their final quote.
Density presets
- Light fill (~5,000 stitches/sq inch) - thin coverage, used for backgrounds or large solid blocks where speed matters.
- Standard fill (~7,500 stitches/sq inch) - the default for most promo embroidery.
- Dense fill (~10,000 stitches/sq inch) - tight coverage for small detailed logos or high-end work.
