Adopting SAGE products into your catalog
A SAGE search result is read-only. An adopted product is yours. The moment you click Adopt, the SKU, the supplier, the price tiers, the imprint area, the colors, and the supplier contact land in your catalog as a real product you can mark up, photograph, favorite, and sell. SAGE updates still flow through, but your overrides stick.
What carries over on adoption
Every field SAGE publishes about the product. Net price tiers across the standard quantity breaks. Imprint width and height. Decoration process. Setup fee. Lead time. Supplier name and order email. Up to a half dozen images. Color list. The price code we use to compute customer-facing list prices from net costs.
You can adopt a single product or batch-adopt a search result page. Most distributors do it one at a time as a side effect of preparing a quote.
What you control after adoption
Your photos beat SAGE photos. We use yours wherever we have one. Your price overrides beat the published tiers when you set them. Your customer setup-fee policy applies. Your hidden-from-customers flag controls whether an adopted product appears on your storefront or only inside the team app.
The supplier SKU and supplier name stay attached because you need them to send a clean PO. We strip both from customer-facing surfaces (the customer never sees who you bought from) and surface them only to staff.
What stays in sync with SAGE
Every fresh SAGE search refreshes the underlying product card if anything changed upstream. Your overrides are layered on top, so a supplier net-cost increase shows up as a net delta on the original record while your customer-facing list price stays stable until you re-mark-it-up.
