ASI's ESP and SAGE are the two industry-standard supplier catalogs. DECADE.promo integrates natively with SAGE; ASI members often keep ESP open for industry research, supplier directory work, and alternate-source product discovery. Both can coexist in a distributor's daily workflow.
What ESP gives you that we do not
ASI's industry research, ASI Power 50 reports, ASI education and certification programs, the ESP supplier directory with phone numbers and rep contacts that sometimes go deeper than SAGE's. None of this is something DECADE.promo replaces.
Where DECADE.promo picks up
After the supplier and product are identified. ESP is excellent for "find me a supplier of branded folding chairs"; DECADE.promo is excellent for "I have the chair, now run the customer relationship and order workflow around it." If the chair supplier is also in SAGE, you adopt the SAGE record; if not, you create the product manually with the supplier info from ESP.
Membership decisions
Many distributors carry both ASI and PPAI memberships. The decision to renew ESP specifically depends on whether you use the directory and the research enough to justify the cost. DECADE.promo runs fine without ESP; the SAGE catalog is the deeper integration.
