Promotional products for accounting firms and CPAs

Accounting firms have a sharp seasonal calendar (tax season, year-end planning, audit cycles) and buy on it. Client gifts at year-end, recruiting kits in fall hiring, partner-anniversary keepsakes for milestone moments. The firm has the same buyer-pattern stability as a law firm with the same long-tenure account characteristics.

What accounting firms buy

Year-end client gifts: leather portfolios, premium pens, custom Moleskines, gift sets with a tax-planning theme. Cost-per-client $25-100 for retail, higher for corporate clients.

Recruiting kits: for fall hiring season at accounting schools. Branded leather card cases, premium notebooks, quality drinkware. Higher per-piece spend on the recruiting kit because the firm is competing with Big 4.

Partner anniversary and milestone gifts: 5/10/20 year service awards, partner-promotion gifts, retirement keepsakes. Engraved crystal, premium leather goods.

What does not work

Anything that screams "trade show floor giveaway." Cheap pens, stress balls, cheap tote bags. The firm wants to feel premium even at $25 per gift.

How to set the account up

The marketing director is the buyer at the firm level. Partners and senior managers are the requesters for client gifts. Build a portal scoped per-partner so each partner can order their own client gifts within a per-client cap, with rollup to the firm. Net-30 is standard. Tax-exempt is unusual.

Accounting firms reorder the same gift catalog year after year. Lock the catalog, set the per-partner portal, and the firm becomes a five-figure annual relationship.
