What sells in legal

Closing gifts on big case wins are the margin play. Engraved decanters, leather portfolios, custom Moleskines with the matter name, premium pens (real ones - Cross, Parker, Visconti). The firm spends $100-300 per gift and the partner hand-delivers it.

Recruiting and conference giveaways are the volume play. Branded leather cardholders, AirPod cases, premium notebook + pen sets, and quality drinkware for state bar events. Firms hand these out at law school events and continuing-education conferences.

What does not sell

Stress balls shaped like gavels. Anything that looks like it was bought from the back of a CLE catalog. Cheap pens. Tote bags with the firm name in 60-point Arial. Lawyers know what looks expensive and what does not - the entire profession runs on signaling - so any item that signals "trade show floor giveaway" gets rejected.

How to set the account up
