Tools for promo distributors doing $1M+ annually

A $1M+ promo shop has crossed the threshold where individual heroics no longer scale. The owner cannot remember every customer, every supplier, every active order. The software stack has to surface the right exceptions and stay out of the way for the routine work.

Data quality is the bottleneck

At this scale, every clean customer record is an asset. Wrong shipping addresses, missing tax certificates, duplicate company entries: each is a small loss multiplied by your transaction volume. Revenue is the wrong metric in isolation. A rep doing $300k of low-margin promotional work is less valuable than a rep doing $200k of high-margin custom apparel. Customer-segment analysis

A 80/20 distribution of revenue across customers is normal at this scale. The top 20% deserve white-glove account management, the middle 60% deserve a self-serve customer portal that runs without you, and the bottom 20% need either upsell or transition to lower-touch service. Each segment has its own playbook.
